Yossi Sassi (Hebrew: יוסי סאסי ,born February 5, 1975) is a guitarist and producer who merges traditional and contemporary music. He is the inventor of the Bouzoukitara. He is known for pioneering & evolving Oriental Prog-Rock, as well as the main composer, arranger and co-founder of Orphaned Land, an Israeli progressive metal band formed in 1991, and founder of ‘Yossi Sassi band’. In 2012, Sassi released his debut album ‘Melting Clocks’, an album that got him voted for ‘Top Newcomer of 2012’ by ‘Rock Hard’ magazine readers for his solo work.
