Bio - Gonzalo Martínez

Gonzalo has over sixteen years of technology, venture capital and advisory experience.  He is co-founder and partner at Cardumen Capital, investing in deep tech in Israel. Prior to Cardumen, Gonzalo spent four years in Korea at Samsung’s Headquarters. He then founded and lead Samsung Ventures Israel’s office. At Samsung Ventures he deployed over $120 million in capital.  Notable deals include: Replay (acq. By Intel), PrimeSense (acq. by Apple), Corephotonics (acq. by Samsung), Magisto (acq. by Vimeo), Elastifile ( Google), Yume (NYSE), or Rounds (acq. by Kik). Today he sits on the board as a director or observer in Coretigo, Humavox, and Multivu.
He holds an EE Engineering degree from Imperial College and Telecom de Paris, an economics degree from LSE and an MBA from UC Berkeley.  Gonzalo has been recently ranked the top 10th Spanish Economic Leader for tomorrow by Choiseul Institute and is a Kauffman fellow.
